The Mighty Ducks have fallen on tough times lately.  The 2000-01 season sucked for them.  First of all, Steve Rucchin was sidelined with an injury all season long.  The team struggled even though they had superstars Paul Kariya and Temmu Selanne.  In an effort to inject new life into the lifeless Ducks, Anaheim's GM Pierre Gauthier traded away Selanne to the Sharks in March, in exchange for speedy left winger Jeff Friesen and solid goaltender Steve Shields.  Friesen contributed immediately to the Ducks' offense, while Shields was sidelined for the remainder of the season with an injury he suffered during a Sharks practice... he did not suit up for the Ducks in 00-01.  Anaheim also got Alexei Tezikov near the end of the season.  The offseason has seen the Ducks pick up Denny Lambert, Keith Carney, and Jason York, while losing Jason Marshall to free agency.

On March 29, 2001, the Anaheim Mighty Ducks were in town.  So, during class I doodled this drawing of Oleg Tverdovsky based on his 99-00 Upper Deck card.  Later that day, I got him to sign it!  This was cool since I didn't have much else for him to sign that day.  The signature looks awesome on the drawing!
