The Southeast Division is not a very strong division, but its teams are loaded with awesome prospects.  This is most evident in Atlanta.  The Thrashers have 2001 #1 pick Ilya Kovalchuk, and 2000 #2 pick Dany Heatley, both of who made their NHL debuts in 2001-02.  Curt Fraser enters his third season as coach, and has been patient with the team.  With young center Patrik Stefan blossoming into an elite NHLer, the team also has sniper Hnat Domenichelli and tough customer Jeff Odgers to add experience.  Ray Ferraro is a veteran leader that the Thrashers get alot out of.  In the goaltending department, the Thrashers have Milan Hnilicka, and injury-plagued Damian Rhodes, who can be solid if he stays injury-free.
