The Carolina Hurricanes are one of my favorite teams.  Not just because my favorite player of all time (Arturs Irbe) tends the nets for them!  They have a great bunch of youngsters in Josef Vasicek, Erik Cole, and Shane Willis.  Jeff O'Neill has emerged as a potent goal-scorer, and went on a tear early this season.  The Hurricanes traded away one of my favorite defensemen (Sandis Ozolinsh) to the Panthers!  The only player on the team I don't particularly like is Tom Barrasso, the new starting goaltender.  As much as Tom doesn't enjoy signing autographs, he is still a reliable and solid netminder.  The Hurricanes are on their way to a Southeast Division title as long as they can keep playing solid.
