The Chicago Blackhawks have been on a downturn in recent times.  They have not made the postseason since 1997, and with a succession of ineffective coaching (Lorne Molleken, Bob Pulford, Dirk Graham), it only got worse.  But can the Hawks' summer acquisitions help them stop losing?  They got Igor Korolev and Steve Thomas from Chicago, and Stanley Cup-winning defenseman Jon Klemm from the Avs.  The Hawks are also in a tough Central Division, with solid opponents St. Louis and Detroit, plus an improving Predators squad.  Head Coach Alpo Suhonen is the first European-trained NHL coach in history.
