Los Angeles has been a competitive hockey club in the past few years, but usually never got past the first round of the playoffs.  That all changed in 2001, when they knocked off the Red Wings in an exciting 7 games.  Then, they traded away their star Luc Robitaille to the very same team that they knocked off... Detroit!  They then made some moves and got Steve Heinze and the other Robitaille (Randy Robitaille, of course).  With Blake and Robitaille gone, many questions remain as to who would replace him.  However, the addition of Adam Deadmarsh has been a very helpful one for the Kings as they try to fight their way through the very tough Pacific Division in 01-02.
