In the past seven years, the New Jersey Devils have been one of the strongest teams in the Eastern Conference. They won Stanley Cups in 1995 and 2000.  Buoyed by strong goaltending and a solid core of workhorse forwards, New Jersey has a great chance to make the Finals again in 2002.  The Devils fired Robbie Ftorek late in the 99-00 campaign.  His replacement, Larry Robinson, led the team through the playoffs and to the Stanley Cup finals against the Dallas Stars.  In Game 6, Jason Arnott scored a double-overtime goal to clinch the Stanley Cup for New Jersey.  And who built this powerhouse? GM Lou Lamoriello, one of the most respected general managers in the sport of hockey.
