The Islanders have been one of the more dismal teams in the league.  Although they have tons of talent stacked sky-high, they always seem to find a way to lose.  However, that may change with the new crop of NHL talent that Mike Milbury has acquired.  The Islanders acquired stars Alexei Yashin and Mike Peca.  However, the downside to this was the exit of Mathieu Biron, Tim Connolly, Taylor Pyatt, and Zdeno Chara.  Regardless, NYI still has tons of youngsters to lead the way: Branislav Mezei, Rick DiPietro, Juraj Kolnik, Alex Kharitanov, Jason Krog, Ray Giroux, and Evgeny Korolev.
