The Canucks are an improving team, now that the Sedin Brothers are in town.  The 1999 draft saw Daniel and Henrik drafted second and third overall.  Vancouver also has a good core of youngsters in Mattias Ohlund, Harold Druken, the Sedins, and outstanding rookie Justin Kurtz, as well as a seemingly endless list of great prospects (Zenith Komarniski, Jarkko Ruutu, Bryan Allen, etc.)  In 2001, the Canucks made the playoffs for the first time since 1996.  Since Mark Messier's departure from the team in Summer 2000, Markus Naslund has taken over as the team's premier player.  Dan Cloutier and Alfie Michaud are the goalies to watch manning the pipes for Vancouver next season.
